_{I've honestly had it up to the back teeth with people seeing an insane My Little Pony fan and automatically thinking they're all like that.
It's just rude.
Though the fanbase has definite bad points, a majority - yes a majority - of the fans are lovely people, that are simply overshadowed by the ones that can't keep their act under control.

I just wish there was some way to prove that those annoying ponyfags in our fandom were the minority. I wish even more that there was a way to get rid of them, whether it was turning them on to something else, or just plain telling them to go away.

It might not be EXACTLY like that, but close enough. Been a little since I heard it.

Ahem, anyway, that's my two cents on that. That and my largest gripe is it seems like most continue to blur the lines between other franchises WAAAYYY too much... Which is why I tend to draw semi-violent or foreshadowing such things that I don't post. One example was to vent some steam, I drew myself rattling the cage of the snake from Anaconda, the cage marked "To Equestria", and pretty much pissing it off for when it arrived, saying things like, "C'mon, you ugly fucker, it's chow time". =w=' Yeah, I have a few issues... But that's just to vent.

I can tell you from experience that no one needs rabid people who rip apart everything. As individuals we are responsible for our own actions and feedback, not the actions and feedback of someone else. Depending on strawman arguments from both extremes guarantees that the infection spreads. The result; [link] For just about anyone it sucks to be in the middle.

The answer is simple: Don't join the vocal minority. Some problems smother themselves.
